2015-02-04 (W) Color/Touch + Sound

I'm still in Texas. I had to stay another day to ensure the machine would run. Properly. I have a picture so you can see the kinds of industrial machines I work on as a day job.

The yellow hardhat is for scale

Dropbox is more difficult to access while away so the current schematics and board layouts aren't posted by the links as of this date. But by the time I finish the project the links will be final versions.

Enough background.
----------

The header for the music aux ports was replaced with a 2x4 port. This configuration was more stable stable and less prone to damage. 5.5mm Mounting holes were added on the schematic side. At first they seemed to large but should be correct. The clearance circles around the holes were deceiving but appear to be correct. 5.5mm should provide adequate clearance for #10 bolts. Switches three and four were added back as separate terminal points but this may not be the most efficient way to add them.

Switches 3 and 4 added to motherboard<->daughterboard terminals

  1. Find better way to add switches 3 + 4
  2. Create circuit board
    1. Design layout for single layer board
    2. Modify shape of circuitboard
    3. Add mounting holes
    4. Carefully align components
    5. Calculate configuration and position of angle bracket holes
  3. Make a parts list with links
    1. 6 count linking wires for motherboard<->daughterboard
    2. Sound 2x4 header socket
    3. 2 @ Motherboard<->Daughterboard 2x3 header socket
  4. Order parts list
  5. Print circuit board at home
  6. Install components
  7. Test + Verify
  8. Print PCB professionally
  9. Make all documentation public
  10. Upload correct board layout to public PCB manufacturer
